Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial drywall or interior construction projects

• Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors on mid- to large-scale projects

• Strong understanding of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and finishing processes

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to enforce them consistently

• Proficiency with field reporting tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam) is a plus

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

The Role

We’re looking for a Superintendent with strong drywall and interior systems experience to oversee daily field operations on major commercial projects near Orangeburg, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of workmanship, schedule, and safety.

You’ll serve as the company’s on-site leader — ensuring that all drywall, framing, and finishing work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field operations, including drywall, framing, ceiling, and finish crews

• Manage daily site logistics, manpower, and subcontractor activities

• Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and safety standards

• Communicate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to maintain schedule and resolve field issues

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and productivity

• Review and interpret drawings, submittals, and change orders

• Lead site meetings, track progress, and report updates to project management

• Promote and enforce company safety culture and OSHA compliance

• Support closeout activities, punch lists, and final inspections
