About the Client

My client is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Business Development Representative to support the continued growth of their Commercial Service Division across New York City.

This is a relationship-driven sales position focused on developing new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships with property management groups, and expanding recurring commercial service accounts throughout NYC. The role reports directly to the Service Director and offers strong long-term growth potential within an established and growing organization.

We are looking for someone with a strong personality, excellent relationship-building ability, and a proactive approach to business development. This role will spend significant time in the field meeting with property managers, supers, facility managers, and commercial building operators to identify service opportunities and grow recurring revenue accounts.

This is not an operations-focused role. Once projects are sold and approved, work is handed off internally to the Service Operations team for execution.

Candidates coming from commercial construction sales, glazing, windows, façades, building services, or property management backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. My client is also open to individuals with property management experience who possess the right personality and client-facing skill set for a business development environment.

About the Role

  • Generate new commercial business opportunities throughout NYC
  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, supers, facility managers, and ownership groups
  • Conduct site visits and property walkthroughs to identify repair, maintenance, and replacement opportunities
  • Develop recurring service agreements and long-term commercial accounts
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and estimates using internal systems
  • Maintain active opportunities and proposal activity within CRM/BuildOps
  • Follow up consistently on open proposals and sales opportunities
  • Coordinate internally with operations to ensure project feasibility prior to award
  • Help grow the company’s recurring commercial service portfolio

About the Candidate

  • Experience in business development, outside sales, estimating, or commercial construction sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with in-person prospecting and field-based outreach
  • Organized with strong follow-up and CRM management ability
  • Ability to understand commercial scopes of work and service opportunities
  • Industry experience within windows, glazing, façades, construction services, or property management preferred
