About the Client

Ready to accelerate your career in the highest-demand sector of construction? We are seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to help drive day-to-day field operations on cutting-edge data center builds across the country.

In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Senior Superintendents, learning the intricacies of mission-critical infrastructure while taking real ownership of site safety, subcontractor coordination, and daily logs.

If you are highly organized, eager to learn, and ready to travel, this is your fast track to becoming a Lead Superintendent.

About the Role

  • Field Supervision: Assist the Lead Superintendent in managing daily site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the project stays on schedule.
  • Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate daily field reports, progress photos, material deliveries, and safety logs using construction management software.
  • Safety Enforcement: Walk the site daily to ensure all trade partners strictly adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Assist in verifying that work in progress matches the project drawings, submittals, and rigorous data center specifications.
  • RFI & Submittal Tracking: Help identify field discrepancies early and work with the project engineering team to process Requests for Information (RFIs).

About the Candidate

  • Experience: Previous field experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or Lead Foreman—with direct exposure to data center or critical infrastructure projects (e.g., healthcare, microelectronics, or heavy industrial).
  • Mobility: 100% willingness to travel and live near project sites nationwide for the duration of the build.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, with a strong interest in learning complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with or quick ability to learn construction tools like Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanGrid.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10-hour required (OSHA 30 preferred); First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required if backed by strong field experience.
