Project Leadership and Management: Provide overall leadership and direction for assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Pre-Construction Involvement: Actively participate in pre-construction activities, including constructability reviews, value engineering, budgeting, and scheduling.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams, including Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents. Clearly define roles and responsibilities, and ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, control expenditures, and ensure profitability. Prepare and present regular financial reports.

Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.

Subcontractor Management: Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contract terms and quality standards.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.

Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. Implement and enforce quality control procedures.

About the Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar projects with commercial construction.

Demonstrated experience working for a general contractor.

Strong understanding of all aspects of the construction process, including pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.

Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.

Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.

A strong commitment to safety and quality.

Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
