Our client is an established and growing Electrical Contractor delivering complex projects across Commercial, Industrial and Mission Critical construction.

They are looking to strengthen their Operations team with an experienced Senior Project Manager capable of taking full ownership of large, high-value electrical projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, General Contractors and key project stakeholders.

The business offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for experienced project leaders to take on significant responsibility while helping develop the next generation of Project Managers.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the company's largest and most complex electrical construction projects or project portfolios, from initial planning through commissioning and closeout.

The position will have significant autonomy and responsibility for both the operational and financial performance of its projects.

Responsibilities will include:

Lead large-scale electrical projects or multiple concurrent projects from mobilization through closeout.
Take ownership of project P&L, budgets, forecasting, cost control and margin performance.
Develop project execution strategies covering sequencing, logistics, manpower and resource planning.
Act as the primary senior contact for clients, General Contractors and key stakeholders.
Manage contracts, change orders, claims, disputes and commercial risk.
Drive labor productivity, cost recovery and margin protection.
Oversee procurement of major equipment, subcontractors, vendors and long-lead items.
Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and wider project teams.
Coordinate across Field Operations, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Prefabrication and other internal departments.
Identify and mitigate financial, contractual, operational and project risks.
Provide senior-level reporting on project financials, schedules, risks and overall performance.
Support business development through client retention, repeat business and major project pursuits.
Maintain high standards across safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Oversee commissioning, project turnover and final closeout.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

8–12+ years of progressive Electrical Construction Project Management experience.
Proven experience independently managing large-scale, high-value electrical projects or multiple concurrent projects.
Background across Commercial, Industrial and/or Mission Critical construction.
Strong understanding of electrical construction, project sequencing, field operations and project delivery.
Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and margin management.
Strong contract administration experience, including change orders, claims, negotiations and risk management.
Experience managing relationships with General Contractors, clients and executive-level stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors and vendors.
Experience coordinating with Engineering, BIM/VDC, Prefabrication, Procurement and Field Operations.
Strong understanding of procurement and long-lead electrical equipment.
Experience mentoring and developing Project Managers and APMs.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and electrical construction safety requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred, with equivalent electrical construction experience considered.
OSHA 30 required, or ability to obtain within the required timeframe. PMP certification is strongly preferred.
