About the Client

My client is a new and rapidly growing commercial roofing contractor based in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex, specializing exclusively in commercial and industrial roofing systems. The company provides new construction installations, full roof replacements, re-roofing, leak detection and repair, preventative maintenance programs, and storm damage restoration across office buildings, retail centers, warehouses, healthcare facilities, and multifamily assets. With experience in TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing (BUR), and metal systems, their team emphasizes technical precision, safety compliance, and strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and local building codes. Backed by experienced leadership and strong supplier partnerships, the company operates with a disciplined project management structure and is actively scaling its field and management teams to support a growing pipeline of negotiated and competitively bid commercial work throughout DFW.

About the Role

  • Identify and develop new commercial business opportunities throughout the DFW market
  • Prospect property managers, facility directors, general contractors, and ownership groups through cold calling, site visits, and networking
  • Perform on-site roof evaluations and gather project details to support accurate estimating and proposal development
  • Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to scope projects, develop pricing, and ensure technical accuracy
  • Prepare and present professional proposals, bid packages, and maintenance agreements
  • Negotiate contract terms and close new construction, re-roof, repair, and maintenance projects
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through project award and handoff to operations
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with clients to build long-term relationships and generate repeat business
  • Track pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and update CRM systems regularly
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and pre-bid meetings

About the Candidate

  • Proven experience in commercial roofing, building envelope, or construction-related B2B sales
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and close new business through prospecting, cold outreach, and relationship development
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, BUR) and project lifecycles
  • Experience working with property managers, facility directors, general contractors, and asset managers
  • Ability to identify qualified opportunities, conduct roof assessments, and collaborate with estimating/operations teams
  • Confident in presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and driving deals to close
  • Knowledge of storm restoration processes and insurance-related commercial claims (preferred)
  • Strong pipeline management skills with proficiency in CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment
  • High level of professionalism, communication skills, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
