The Safety Coordinator will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's safety programs across active construction operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Complete Job Hazard Analyses and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventative measures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, company and customer safety requirements
- Deliver new hire orientations, toolbox talks and safety training
- Maintain employee training and certification records
- Support investigations into injuries, near misses, property damage and vehicle incidents
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA, incident, inspection and safety documentation
- Work directly with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen and field personnel
- Participate in customer and General Contractor safety audits
- Support regulatory and third party inspections
- Escalate serious or uncontrolled hazards and recommend suspension of work where necessary
- Maintain a regular, visible presence across active jobsites
- Travel regularly between assigned company and customer projects
The position combines field safety, training, compliance, incident investigation and administration, with the primary focus being proactive safety management across active construction sites.
