We're looking for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in the roofing and cladding industry to join our growing and dynamic team. This is a full-time, office-based role near Portsmouth, so you'll need to be local or within a commutable distance.

You'll be joining a professional and highly experienced company that delivers complex roofing and cladding projects across London and Southern England. We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients – main contractors and direct customers alike – to provide a complete package, from bid through to supply and installation. Our work covers a range of solutions, including Kalzip standing seam systems, composite roof and wall panels, and Rainscreen systems.

The remuneration package for this position will be competitive and commensurate with your skills and experience.

• At least 3+ years of experience as an Estimator specifically within the roofing and cladding industry is essential.
• A strong understanding of various roofing systems, cladding materials, and their installation methods (e.g., Kalzip, composite panels, rainscreen).
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Competence in estimating software and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• A proven ability to negotiate effectively to secure optimal pricing and terms.
• Highly organised with excellent time management, capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing and wall cladding systems, including materials, labour, and equipment.
• Analyse tender documents, architectural drawings, and specifications to determine the full scope of work.
• Conduct site visits as required to assess project conditions, take accurate measurements, and identify potential challenges.
• Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.
• Negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals, bids, and reports in a timely manner.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact project costs and timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, contracts, and correspondence.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and pricing fluctuations.
