Quantity Surveyor – Drylining & Suspended Ceilings

Location: London & Hertfordshire

 

You will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple live projects, reporting directly to a company Director.

This is a predominantly site-based position, with a minimum of 3 days per week spent on London projects and up to 2 days per week at the company’s head office in Hertfordshire. There is no working from home offered with this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of live projects.
• Regular site visits across London projects.
• Monitoring project costs, variations, valuations and commercial performance.
• Reporting directly to company Directors.
• Working closely with site and project teams.
• Assisting with estimating and material procurement when required.
• Ensuring projects remain commercially controlled and profitable.
• Managing multiple projects across both site and office environments.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within drylining and/or suspended ceilings.
• Strong knowledge of commercial interiors and relevant construction processes.
• The ability to manage multiple live projects independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a good level of written and spoken English.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using relevant commercial/construction software.
• The flexibility to work between London sites and the company’s Hertfordshire office.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach.
• AI experience would be advantageous, particularly where it can be used to improve efficiency and reporting.
