We are recruiting for a Quality Control Manager (QC Manager) to join an active federal construction project in the Norfolk, Virginia area.

This is a 100% onsite contract position responsible for managing the project's quality control requirements in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) program.

The role will involve:

• Conducting QC inspections of work completed by subcontractors and other trades
• Ensuring construction work meets project specifications and quality standards
• Attending project and quality-control meetings
• Preparing and maintaining daily QC reports and project documentation
• Working closely with the Project Manager and onsite construction team
• Monitoring quality throughout the construction process
• Ensuring compliance with USACE CQM-C requirements
• Following all site safety, induction and access requirements

This is a site-based management role focused on quality oversight, inspections, documentation and compliance. The position does not involve manual labour, operating machinery or power tools, electrical work, hazardous chemicals or confined-space entry.

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager with a strong background in federal construction and USACE quality requirements.

Essential requirements:

• 10+ years of construction experience
• 5+ years of experience as a QC Manager
• Current USACE CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence/stamp OR Licensed Architect qualification – mandatory
• 4-year degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or Building Construction
• Experience working on federal/government construction projects
• Strong experience conducting QC inspections of work installed by others
• Experience preparing and maintaining QC reports and documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with the Project Manager and onsite project team
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Norfolk, Virginia

The successful candidate will oversee quality-control activities on an active construction site, ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and USACE CQM-C requirements.
