A commercial glass and glazing contractor based in Houston, Texas, is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support its growing project portfolio. The company delivers commercial glazing projects typically valued between $1M and $5M.

Position Overview

The company is seeking a hands-on Project Manager with experience in commercial glass and glazing to oversee projects from award through to completion. The successful candidate will manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors and client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial glass and glazing projects valued between $1M and $5M, from project award through to final closeout.

• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, procurement, fabrication and installation activities.

• Review architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.

• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, change orders, billing and overall financial performance.

• Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

• Monitor project schedules, track progress and proactively resolve delays or delivery challenges.

• Oversee material procurement, shop drawings, submittals and approvals.

• Conduct project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders.

• Ensure projects meet quality standards, contractual requirements and applicable safety regulations.

• Manage punch lists, resolve outstanding issues and coordinate final project closeout.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Manager within commercial glass and glazing, curtain wall, storefront, window wall or a related building envelope sector.

• Proven ability to manage commercial construction projects from start to finish.

• Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, project schedules and cost control.

• Experience managing project budgets, change orders, procurement and client communication.

• Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain control of project delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering commercial glazing projects valued between $1M and $5M.

• Familiarity with storefront systems, curtain wall, architectural glass and aluminium framing.

• Knowledge of the Houston commercial construction market.
