• This is a hands-on project management position responsible for project financial performance, schedule, client relationships, subcontractor and vendor performance, quality, documentation, and closeout.
• The Project Manager will coordinate with internal project teams, field supervision, general contractors, design teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure projects meet company expectations for schedule, budget, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

• Take full ownership of assigned projects from project handoff through completion
• Review and understand contracts, scope of work, plans, specifications, schedules, and project requirements
• Establish project strategy, priorities, and execution plans
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client/GC
• Manage project budget, financial performance, forecasting, billing, and cash flow
• Develop, negotiate, and manage change orders
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships and performance
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement, fabrication coordination, and long-lead materials
• Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate with field personnel to ensure project requirements are understood and executed
• Identify and proactively manage contractual, financial, scheduling, procurement, design, and field risks
• Resolve contractual, financial, scheduling, and operational issues
• Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication with clients and project stakeholders
• Monitor project quality and compliance with contract requirements
• Manage punch list, turnover documentation, final billing, and project closeout
• Provide regular project status updates to company leadership
• Mentor and develop Junior Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators

About the Candidate
• Minimum five years of relevant commercial construction project management experience
• Direct experience with architectural metal and glass, ornamental or miscellaneous metals, glazing, storefront, curtain wall, specialty glass, or comparable custom architectural work
• Experience managing projects through multiple phases of the project lifecycle, from contract award and handoff through closeout
• Ability to read and understand contracts, construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals
• Experience with project financials, cost tracking, forecasting, purchasing, change orders, billing, cash flow, and profitability
• Experience coordinating drawing approvals, procurement, fabrication, deliveries, and field installation
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining accountability for commitments and deadlines
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, GCs/CMs, architects, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, internal teams, and field personnel
• Ability to work between the Hauppauge office, fabrication facilities, and active construction sites

• Relevant trade experience is important. Candidates should understand the coordination, fabrication, delivery, and installation requirements associated with architectural and ornamental metal and glass work, rather than having experience limited to general construction project management.
