I am currently representing a highly succesful general contractor who have been operating for 40+ years within Broward County.

They specialise in high end construction, they are a family run business who have fantastic staff retention. This is down to how well they treat their staff.
 

You will be joining a team of 5, made up of the CFO, Controller and 3 x Project Accountants .

• Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Track project costs against budgets and identify potential variances.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to clients.
• Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Prepare and submit subcontractor payment applications.
• Track and manage project change orders.

• Assist in the development of project budgets.
• Prepare and maintain project forecasts.
• Monitor project profitability and identify potential risks and opportunities.

• Track and analyze project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget.

• Prepare and analyze various financial reports, including variance reports, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide financial support for project bids and proposals.

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in general construction accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with ¹ construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus.
