Our client is an established commercial construction contractor based in the Charlotte area, delivering painting, drywall, acoustical and firestopping services across a range of commercial projects.

The company is committed to quality workmanship, competitive pricing and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors and project partners.

As a Painting Estimator, you'll play an important role in pricing commercial painting projects and supporting the company's bidding and business development activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and bid documents.

• Completing detailed quantity take-offs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST).

• Preparing estimates and pricing using Quick Bid.

• Calculating labour, material and other project costs.

• Preparing accurate, competitive bid proposals and tender submissions.

• Identifying scope requirements, discrepancies and potential estimating risks.

• Coordinating with internal teams and project stakeholders to clarify scope and pricing.

• Managing multiple estimating deadlines and maintaining accurate bid documentation.

Requirements:

• Approximately five years of commercial painting estimating experience preferred.

• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid.

• Strong understanding of commercial painting scopes, materials and labour costs.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Willingness to work in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, with relocation considered.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial painting estimating, with approximately five years of relevant experience and proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid.

You'll be confident interpreting construction drawings and specifications, completing detailed take-offs and preparing accurate, competitive estimates. You should be comfortable managing estimating assignments independently, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tender deadlines.
