About the Client

We are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical or Electrical Engineer specializing in Commissioning (Cx) to join the Mission Critical team of our clients a Top ENR GC. In this role, you will be the technical guardian of facility reliability, ensuring that the complex infrastructure powering the digital world operates with zero margin for error.

Whether your expertise lies in the "thermal side" or the "power side," you will be responsible for the rigorous testing and integration of systems where downtime is not an option.

About the Role

  • Cross-Disciplinary Oversight: Lead commissioning activities for critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between mechanical cooling and electrical power distribution.

  • Technical Validation: Perform Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning (from Factory Witness Testing to Integrated Systems Testing/IST).

  • System Expert (Mechanical): If ME-focused, oversee chilled water plants, CRAH/CRAC units, energy recovery systems, and complex BAS/BMS sequences.

  • System Expert (Electrical): If EE-focused, oversee UPS systems, backup generators, switchgear, STS, and EPMS integration.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify "single points of failure" during design reviews and field inspections; manage the Cx Issues Log to ensure 100% resolution prior to handover.

  • Owner Liaison: Act as a trusted advisor to the client, providing transparent technical reporting and verifying that the facility meets the Basis of Design (BOD).

About the Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience: 5+ years in commissioning, design, or construction of Mission Critical facilities (Data Centers, Semi-conductor labs, or Large-scale Healthcare).

  • Technical Proficiency:* ME: Deep understanding of psychrometrics and $N+1$ / $2N$ cooling redundancy.

    • EE: Deep understanding of fault studies, relay coordination, and $N+1$ / $2N$ power topology.

  • Certifications: PE license, CCP (Certified Commissioning Professional), or LEED AP is highly preferred.
