About the Role

Mechanical Superintendent – Tampa, FL

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to oversee commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects across the Tampa area. This position requires strong leadership in the field, coordination with project management, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems installation from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily on-site operations for mechanical and HVAC projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain project schedules.
Review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve technical or scheduling issues.
Conduct site safety meetings and enforce company and OSHA safety standards.
Oversee installation of ductwork, piping, and equipment for commercial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
Manage manpower, track progress, and report updates to leadership teams.
Support quality control, testing, and commissioning activities prior to project turnover.

About the Candidate

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical or HVAC Superintendent within commercial construction.
Proven ability to lead field teams on large-scale projects ($2M–$15M+).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, and installation practices.
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work full-time on projects throughout the Tampa Bay region.
