Our client is an established, family-owned mechanical contractor with more than four decades of experience delivering HVAC services and installations across North Carolina.

The business has built its reputation around quality workmanship, long-term client relationships and retaining good people. Many of their mechanics have been with the company for 20+ years, with similar longevity across the senior management team.

Due to continued project demand, they are looking to add an experienced Lead HVAC / Sheet Metal Mechanic to their field team.

Our client is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC / Sheet Metal Mechanic to take a senior position within their field operations.

This is a hands-on role combining the responsibilities of a Lead Mechanic, Foreman and Superintendent depending on the project. You will be responsible for completing HVAC and sheet metal installation work while also taking ownership of site coordination and leading crews of up to 15 people.

The role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings, working from submittals and IOMs, handling RFIs and ensuring installations meet applicable mechanical codes and inspection requirements.

Projects are located throughout Western North Carolina, from Asheville through to Greensboro, with occasional overnight stays required. Hotel accommodation will be provided alongside a daily per diem.

The standard schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:00pm, working four 10-hour shifts. Overtime is available and paid at 1.5x.

Pay is available up to $40/hour depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have 10–15+ years of HVAC and/or sheet metal field experience and be equally comfortable working hands-on or taking the lead on site.
