About the Client
We are hiring a Healthcare Superintendent
to oversee ground-up construction of healthcare facilities in the Miami area for a GC. This role requires expertise in managing complex MEP systems, strict regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality healthcare environments.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all field operations for ground-up healthcare construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors with a strong focus on MEP integration
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (AHCA, FGI Guidelines, Joint Commission standards where applicable)
- Maintain project schedule and drive milestone achievement
- Lead safety initiatives and maintain a zero-incident job site
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure infection control standards are met
- Work closely with Project Managers, architects, and hospital stakeholders
- Oversee commissioning, inspections, and project turnover
About the Candidate
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of construction experience with healthcare project exposure
- Proven experience as Superintendent on ground-up healthcare projects (hospitals, medical centers, clinics)
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, especially in healthcare environments
- Familiarity with AHCA and healthcare compliance requirements in Florida
- Ability to manage multiple trades and complex coordination efforts
Preferred Experience
- Experience with projects $100M–$200M+
- South Florida construction experience
- Experience in occupied hospital environments (a plus, even though role is ground-up)
