A well-established general contractor in Northeast Florida is searching for experienced Healthcare Superintendents to lead impactful projects that truly benefit the local community. This role involves overseeing ongoing work on a major healthcare campus for a longstanding client. About the Role

  • Leading all onsite construction activities to ensure projects stay on time and within scope

  • Upholding strict safety standards to protect everyone on site

  • Implementing and managing Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols

  • Coordinating daily work with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

  • Tracking project progress, updating schedules, and communicating any changes or concerns

  • Performing regular quality control checks to ensure all work meets high standards and contractual requirements

  • Reviewing drawings and specifications, and flagging any discrepancies or needed adjustments

  • Collaborating with the Project Manager on scheduling, budgeting, and reporting

  • Resolving on-site issues promptly and maintaining a professional, team-oriented environment

  • Mentoring field staff and helping develop talent within the team

  • Communicating effectively with clients and project stakeholders

  • Ensuring all necessary permits, inspections, and approvals are in place

  • Overseeing the final stages of construction, including commissioning and closeout documentation

About the Candidate

  • 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects

  • 2+ years specifically focused on healthcare construction (interior renovations, equipment installations, etc.)

  • Understanding of Infection Control Permit requirements and how to apply appropriate site-specific measures

  • Experience working on projects regulated by AHCA is a strong plus

  • Solid knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and project management tools

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and manage relationships

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and risk management

  • Confidence reading and interpreting technical construction documents
