About the Role

Mechanical General Superintendent – Tampa, FL

We’re hiring a Mechanical General Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout the Tampa Bay area. This leadership role is responsible for managing all field operations, supporting project teams, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, on-schedule work across multiple job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all field activities across multiple mechanical projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations.
Manage and mentor project Superintendents and field crews to maintain productivity, safety, and quality.
Oversee project scheduling, manpower allocation, and resource planning to optimize field operations.
Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Foremen to coordinate installation, resolve conflicts, and ensure design compliance.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety programs, and assess performance.
Support preconstruction planning, including manpower forecasting, constructability reviews, and logistics planning.
Maintain client relationships and represent the company in meetings and site walks.
Ensure all projects meet budget, schedule, and quality objectives.

About the Candidate

Requirements

10+ years of mechanical construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or General Superintendent capacity.
Proven track record overseeing large-scale commercial, institutional, or industrial mechanical projects ($5M–$30M+).
Strong technical understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
Ability to lead and develop field teams across multiple projects.
OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong commitment to safety and quality.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel locally throughout the Tampa Bay region.
