Foreman – Commercial Drywall & Interior Systems

New York City

A well-established commercial drywall contractor is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews on a variety of high-profile interior construction projects across New York City.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality drywall and interior systems installations across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare and education sectors. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

About the Role

The Role

  • Supervise and lead drywall, metal framing and ceiling installation crews on active job sites.
  • Coordinate daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and to specification.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
  • Plan labour requirements and allocate work efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment and site logistics.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure installations meet company and client standards.
  • Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Liaise with Superintendents, Project Managers, General Contractors and other trades.
  • Complete daily reports and communicate project progress to management.

About the Candidate

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Foreman within commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings or interior systems.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing field crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity.
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is an advantage but not essential.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
