About the Role

Pay from $25 per hour to $32 per hour - depending on experience

  • Develop working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards
  • Correctly complete all inspection related documentation
  • Perform duties in a cost-effective manner while inspecting structures which contain Fire Alarm Systems
  • Properly perform needed alarm system inspections and all associated components
  • Crosstrain additional licensing duties to obtain multiple licenses

About the Candidate

  • Full, clean licence
  • FAL
  • Be able to pass drugs and background screening
  • Ideally based in or near San Antonio

Work Experience:  Skills and Competencies
  • Must have electrical knowledge and/or background
  • Ideally, experience of working on in Commercial , health care and Industrial sites
  • A State of Texas Fire Alarm License or NICET Level II Fire Alarm certification is preferred. If the applicant does not possess these it will be a requirement to pass the NICET Level II Fire Alarm System exam and the Texas Fire Marshall’s Office Statues and Rules Exam within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Understand fire alarm installation requirements.
  • Ability to properly read fire alarm blueprints, submittals, and operation/product manuals. 
  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
  • Understanding of NFPA codes and standards preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience 
  • Ability to take direction from upper management 
  • Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork
  • Maintain vehicle and tools as per company policy
  • Must have valid state driver's license and good driving record
  • Self-motivated, Ambitious, Interactive, Communicative, Detail-oriented, Organized
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience with powered hand tools, hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, and commissioning devices
  • Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and positive manner with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.
