Job Details

In this position, you’ll be responsible for preparing take-offs, pricing, bids and budgets for glazing/façade projects (interior partitions, storefronts, curtain wall, etc.). At senior level, you’ll lead and mentor the estimating team, set strategy for complex bids, and provide value engineering input.

• Review drawings, specifications and subcontractor proposals; perform material take-offs.
• Develop cost estimates: labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor scopes, overheads and profit margins.
• Collaborate with business development and operations teams to set bid strategy, bid/no-bid decisions.
• Prepare bid packages, pricing breakdowns, risk analysis and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain historical cost database and benchmarking for future estimates.
• At senior level: manage junior estimators, review all bids, build relationships with key suppliers, support preconstruction meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years (Estimator)
• 7-10+ years (Senior Estimator) in glazing/façade or similar contracting.
• Strong analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore Estimating, etc.).
