About the Client
About the Role
This role involves preparing accurate takeoffs, pricing, and bid proposals for drywall, framing, ceilings, and specialty finishes across commercial interior projects—such as hotels, cultural centers, corporate offices, and institutional buildings. You will work closely with project managers, general contractors, and clients throughout the bidding process.
Responsibilities:

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for drywall and related scopes.

Develop cost estimates for labor, material, and subcontracted work.

Participate in job walks and pre-bid meetings as needed.

Assist with assembling bid packages and written proposals.

Track bid deadlines and maintain estimating logs.

Collaborate with project managers to support hand-off meetings and change order pricing.

Learn and use industry-standard estimating software and tools (training provided if needed).
About the Candidate
For Experienced Estimators:

2+ years of experience estimating drywall or interior systems for commercial construction.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and using takeoff software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam).

Understanding of labor rates, material pricing, and subcontractor coordination.
For Field/Management-to-Estimator Transition:

2+ years of hands-on experience in drywall installation, foreman, or site supervision roles.

Strong knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and materials.

Willingness to learn software, documentation standards, and cost breakdowns.

High attention to detail, organized, and eager to grow into a long-term estimating role.
