About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team, specialising in drywall and interior fit-out projects across the London area. This is a key role within the business, responsible for delivering accurate and competitive tenders and helping to secure new work for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for drywall, partitions, ceilings, and associated interior works.

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take-offs and pricing.

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and clarify project scope.

• Conduct site visits and assessments where necessary to inform pricing decisions.

• Support the project team in pre-construction and handover phases, providing detailed handoff documentation.

• Analyse project risks and opportunities, recommending value engineering options where appropriate.

• Maintain and update estimating databases and pricing resources.

• Monitor post-tender feedback and adjust estimating practices to improve future success rates.
  
  Desirable:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.

• Understanding of design & build contracts and JCT forms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the drywall, interiors, or construction sector.

• Strong understanding of drywall systems, partitioning, suspended ceilings, and fit-out processes.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and tender documentation.

• Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ConQuest, Excel).

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

• Knowledge of current construction costs and supply chain in the London market.

Desirable:
