Commercial Drywall Estimator

Location:  Kearney, NJ

Salary:$90,000 - $200,000 + Benefits (DOE)

A well-established commercial drywall contractor is looking to add an experienced Estimator to its growing preconstruction team in Northern New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong backlog of commercial projects throughout the New York and New Jersey markets. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings and interior systems projects.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and construction drawings.
• Review plans, specifications and bid documents to identify project scope and potential risks.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid proposals and assist with project handovers to the operations team.
• Work closely with Project Managers, vendors and clients throughout the preconstruction process.

Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience within commercial drywall or interior systems.
• Strong knowledge of drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings and commercial construction methods.
• Experience using estimating software such as OST, QuickBid, BuzzBid or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
