Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop bid packages and support the full tendering process
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams on pricing strategy
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners
• Track historical cost data and market trends to improve estimating accuracy

(Aligned with typical Florida estimating responsibilities including take-offs, subcontractor coordination, and bid strategy development)

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
• Experience with drywall, metal framing, ceilings, or related interior scopes preferred
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and take-offs
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience working with subcontractor networks in South Florida
• Background in specialty contracting or interiors packages
• Familiarity with Division 9 / Division 10 scopes is a strong advantage
