They are now seeking a skilled Roofing Estimator to join their growing team.

The Roofing Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with roofing projects, from initial inquiry through to project completion. This involves analyzing project requirements, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring that all estimates are competitive and commercially viable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine the full scope of roofing work required.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, take measurements, and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for flat roofing and pitched roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate and compare different roofing systems and materials to provide cost-effective solutions.
• Identify potential risks and cost variations, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Prepare and present professional bid proposals and tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and project managers to clarify project requirements and address any queries.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing, and project-related information.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new roofing products, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

• Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator or in a similar role within the roofing industry is essential.
• Experience with both flat roofing and pitched roofing systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
