About the Client

Our client is a growing commercial electrical contractor based in Charlotte, NC, delivering projects across a wide range of commercial sectors. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and repeat business, they continue to expand their operations and are looking to strengthen their field team.

The business currently employs around 40 field staff alongside an experienced office and management team. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to add experienced Commercial Electricians to their team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work on commercial electrical construction projects located within approximately an hour of Charlotte, NC.

Projects typically range from $1M-$3M and include:
  • Ground-up commercial construction
  • Tenant improvements
  • Renovations
  • Retrofit projects
  • Design-build work

Responsibilities include:
  • Installing electrical systems, wiring, conduit, fixtures and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Bending and installing conduit
  • Pulling and terminating wire
  • Installing panels, lighting systems and electrical devices
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems and identifying faults
  • Working alongside Foremen and Superintendents to meet project schedules
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Following NEC requirements and company safety procedures
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 4+ years of electrical construction experience preferred
  • Strong commercial electrical experience
  • Experience working on new construction, renovations and/or retrofit projects
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and NEC requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
  • Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
  • A stable work history with a proactive attitude
