About the Role
The Senior Superintendent is the primary on-site leader responsible for overseeing field operations and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale electrical construction projects. This role manages multiple crews and subordinate supervisors on complex, ground-up projects—typically valued at $20 million or more —while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and productivity targets are met.
The Senior Superintendent provides direct leadership to field personnel, coordinates with project management, and maintains strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Primary Responsibilities

Lead all field operations and enforce adherence to Walker’s safety program, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements

Oversee and direct Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams to ensure efficient, high-quality work execution

Manage daily project activities, schedules, manpower planning, and material coordination

Attend and lead preconstruction, coordination, and progress meetings

Review and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and labor productivity reports

Coordinate and communicate frequently with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors

Identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, quality, or budget (e.g., material shortages, productivity gaps, design conflicts)

Monitor and enforce compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications

Oversee change order preparation, as-built documentation, and progress reporting

Conduct site inspections and accompany third-party or client inspectors during project reviews

Maintain high standards for site organization, quality control, and housekeeping

Support project cost tracking, progress billing, and monthly forecasting with the Project Manager

Review RFI logs and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items

Liaise with engineering, estimating, purchasing, logistics, and safety departments to ensure project needs are met

Motivate and maintain morale among field teams, subcontractors, and vendors

Drive productivity improvements and process consistency across field operations

Ensure all work complies with state and local regulatory requirements
Skills and Competencies

Proven leadership in managing large-scale electrical projects ($20M+)

Strong understanding of electrical systems, sequencing, and installation methods

Excellent organizational and scheduling skills

Effective communicator with field teams, clients, and subcontractors

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software

Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Licensing Requirements

Active Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required

If licensed in another state, must be able to obtain a Texas electrical license as a contingency of employment
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years of electrical construction or superintendent experience

Proven record managing large commercial, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure projects valued at $20 million or more

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Working knowledge of safety standards, construction practices, and project controls

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related construction management software

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
About the Candidate
- 10+ years' experience as a Senior Superintendent leading Data Center, Mission Critical, or Large Commercial Projects
- ProCore, BlueBeam experience
- $20M+ in Electrical Scope Value
- NO Multi-Family or Industrial Experience
- Degree preferred, not required
- Great tenure - not a job hopper.
- Journeyman Electrician license, and Texas TDLR required.
