• Serves as the primary estimating contact, representing the company in client interactions and supporting business development efforts
• Prepares precise cost breakdowns for electrical construction projects valued between $20 million and $100 million, using project plans and specifications aligned with industry norms
• Leads and mentors estimating and preconstruction staff throughout the preparation of bids and proposals
• Writes clear and detailed proposals that fully outline the scope of work and associated financials
• Oversees project estimating efforts, coordinating all related activities to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Ensures that all final estimates comply with internal requirements and are thoroughly vetted before client submission
• Negotiates with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best possible pricing without compromising quality
• Develops and refines internal estimating procedures, promoting consistent standards and efficiency across the department
• Creates estimates for a variety of project types, including early budgeting, design-assist, design-build, and plan-and-spec work
• Participates in project site visits and meetings, with responsibilities requiring both in-office work and travel to other locations
• Supports other departments by preparing multi-discipline estimates and assisting with cost analysis for project changes and start-up activities
• Facilitates proposal reviews to ensure leadership has the necessary documentation for informed decision-making

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and mentor junior estimators
• Prior experience with cost control, estimating, or engineering, with over eight years in commercial or industrial electrical construction
• Background working on design-build projects with a strong emphasis on quality execution
• Familiarity with commercial and industrial codes, systems, and related controls
• Experienced in interpreting blueprints and utilizing computerized cost systems
• Demonstrated success working on hyperscale data center projects is preferred
• Strong understanding of the impact of cost and scheduling on project outcomes
• High proficiency in Excel and advanced use of construction estimating and project management software
• Practical experience with Data Centers and Accubid software
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong professional relationships
• Exceptional analytical thinking, organizational ability, and mathematical skills
• Able to work effectively within a team environment and take on leadership responsibilities when needed
• Must successfully pass a background check and motor vehicle record check following a job offer
