Our client is a fast-growing Electrical Contractor based in Austin, Texas, specializing in commercial electrical and design-build construction projects. Due to continued growth, they are actively looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial electrical projects through all phases of construction

• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, profitability, and cash flow

• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation

• Coordinate with superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners

• Negotiate and issue purchase orders and subcontracts

• Monitor project progress and proactively manage project risks

• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality expectations, and safety requirements

• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and support junior team development

• Maintain project controls, reporting, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3–5 years of experience managing commercial electrical construction projects

• Experience managing projects valued between $500K – $3M

• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and financial management

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents

• Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills

• Experience coordinating field operations and managing multiple projects simultaneously

• OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments while meeting deadlines

Preferred qualifications include:

• Journeyman Electrical License

• Experience with Accubid Estimating Software

• Design-build project experience

• Commercial electrical construction background
