Electrical Engineer for Building Design
Location:
St. Petersburg, FL
We are seeking an experienced full-time Electrical Engineer for an award-winning architectural, engineering, and interior design firm in St. Petersburg, FL. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Electrical Engineer in Florida and a member of NCEES, with at least 10 years of experience in electrical design, particularly in Senior Living, Healthcare, and Multifamily High-rise projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage assigned projects, ensuring high-quality engineering and client satisfaction.

Lead electrical systems design for new construction and renovations, including power systems, lighting, and low-voltage design.

Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver efficient solutions.

Conduct site visits and assess existing electrical infrastructure during design and construction.

Prepare construction documents and participate in design/construction meetings.
Qualifications:

Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida(Required)

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

10+ years of electrical design experience in an AE environment

Expertise in power, low voltage, and lighting system design

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office

Strong communication skills and commitment to quality engineering
Additional Requirements:

Experience in Senior Living, High-rise, and Healthcare projects (new and renovation)

Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and timeline

Ability to assess and resolve design or field issues
