Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Drywall Mechanics / Lathers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in metal stud framing, lath installation, drywall hanging, and finishing for commercial projects. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a professional crew.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Install metal and wood framing systems for walls, ceilings, and soffits.

  • Measure, cut, and attach lath, drywall, and related materials according to specifications.

  • Apply various types of lath (metal, gypsum, wire) to walls, ceilings, and structural surfaces.

  • Ensure accurate alignment, fit, and finish of drywall and lath systems.

  • Work from blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions.

  • Coordinate with foremen and project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

  • Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines on site.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

About the Candidate

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Drywall Mechanic or Lather in commercial construction.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Strong understanding of commercial framing, drywall, and lathing systems.

  • Ability to lift and carry materials, climb ladders, and work at heights.

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
