Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. This office-based role is responsible for producing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial drywall and related scopes across a range of high-profile projects. As part of a seasoned preconstruction team, you will play a key role in securing new work and supporting the company’s continued growth in the Florida market.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to develop detailed quantity takeoffs

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for drywall, acoustical ceilings, and related interior scopes

• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

• Work closely with project managers and field personnel to ensure estimate accuracy and constructability

• Maintain organized bid documentation, including scope sheets, notes, and assumptions

• Attend internal bid reviews and support project handoff meetings

• Track and manage multiple bids simultaneously, meeting all deadlines

• Assist in value engineering, alternates, and budget development as needed

• Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, trends, and construction methods

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in estimating commercial drywall or interior construction

• Proficiency in digital takeoff software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift)

• Strong Excel and general computer skills; experience with estimating platforms is a plus

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required)
