Overview

A specialist interiors & drylining contractor is seeking a skilled Drylining Designer / Design Manager to lead the design function. You will be responsible for translating architectural drawings into workable drylining/partition/ceiling solutions, managing design teams and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs, layouts, and technical drawings for drylining, partitions, ceilings, facades etc.

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and requirements

• Lead a small team of designers and coordinate with project, site, and commercial teams

• Manage design programming, quality checks, and design deliverables

• Liaise with architects, clients, engineers, subcontractors to resolve design issues

• Incorporate innovation and latest technologies (e.g. Trimble setting out, digital modeling, cloud-based document control) Platt Reilly

• Provide support during construction: issuing detail drawings, revisions, site clarifications

• Ensure designs comply with regulations, acoustic, fire, structural performance

• Maintain document control, versioning, and design standards

• Proven experience in drylining / partitions / ceiling design or building interiors

• Strong capability with CAD / Revit / 3D modelling or equivalent

• Understanding of construction methods, detailing, materials, and buildability

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

• Leadership skills, able to guide designers and manage workflow
