About the Client

We're seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a leading roofing contractor, a key client of ours based in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality roofing solutions across the UK, working with a company renowned for its technical expertise and commitment to customer service.

As a Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of both flat and pitched roofing projects from inception to completion. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills.

About the Role

Manage multiple roofing contracts simultaneously, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and close-out.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and motivate site teams, including roofing operatives, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and excellence.
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency without compromising quality.
Uphold and enforce the highest standards of health and safety on all sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Oversee the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring all projects meet company standards and client specifications.
Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and timelines.
Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.

About the Candidate

Demonstrated experience as a Contracts Manager within the flat and pitched roofing sector.
In-depth knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques for both flat and pitched roofs.
IOSH certification is highly desirable.
Exceptional ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple projects and tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, colleagues, and site teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
A natural leader who can inspire and guide teams to achieve project goals.
Willingness to travel across the UK to manage projects as required.
Familiarity with industry accreditations such as NFRC, CHAS, Constructionline Gold, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 is a plus.
