Start-Up Commercial Refrigeration Techncian (Miami)

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Start-Up Technican  to join our team. You'll install refrigeration systems for supermarkets, cold storage facilities, and food processing plants—working independently and with a team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial refrigeration systems: piping, insulation, evaporators, compressors, condensers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and display cases
• Read and follow blueprints and electrical schematics
• Install condensate drain lines and case fixtures
• Use hand and power tools safely; maintain clean, safe job sites
• Travel for out-of-town/night work (including Puerto Rico) as needed

Lead Installer roles also include:

• EMS/electrical wiring to code
• System testing and troubleshooting
• Communicating with project managers and tracking job progress

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial refrigeration installation experience
• EPA 608 Certification(Universal or Type II) required or willing to obtain
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
• Strong skills in piping, brazing, blueprint reading, and tool use
• Reliable, detail-oriented, team player with good communication skills
• Able to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for continuous improvement.

What You Bring  

• 5+ years commercial refrigeration service experience, including commissioning/start-up responsibilities 

• Strong expertise with supermarket rack systems, EMS/BAS controls (Danfoss, Emerson, Honeywell, Novar, etc.), and VFDs 

• EPA Universal Certification required 

• Ability to interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operations 

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, gauges, digital reporting, and data logging 

• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills 

• Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to demanding project schedules 

  Preferred Qualifications  

• 10 Years supermarket refrigeration experience, including commissioning/start-up responsibilities 

• Prior commissioning/start-up role in supermarket refrigeration projects 

• Factory training or certification on EMS/BAS platforms (Danfoss AK, Emerson E2, Honeywell, etc.) 

• OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred) 

• Knowledge of energy efficiency best practices and refrigerant compliance regulations 

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

As a (Lead) Service Technician, you’ll lead by example in the field, providing expert installation, service, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and retail environments, including supermarkets, warehouses, and other client facilities.
