Our client, a well-established General Contractor & Construction Management specialist with a deep history in Florida, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Construction Superintendent for commercial projects in the Orlando area.

We are looking for a rising field leader with 3–5 years of experience who is ready to play a critical role in transitioning projects from "dirt" to "done." You will support the Lead Superintendent in managing the complexities of commercial infrastructure, structural systems, and professional stakeholder demands.

• Site Support & Management: Assist in directing daily onsite operations. You will be on the ground ensuring that the physical execution of work aligns with design intent, from initial site-prep through the final punch list.

• Schedule Support: Help maintain and drive the project schedule. You will assist in coordinating the sequence of work for specific trades and monitoring progress to identify potential delays before they impact the critical path.

• Quality Control: Enforce high-level quality standards. You will be responsible for field inspections to ensure precise tolerances for structural steel, masonry, and high-spec finishes, ensuring all work meets Florida building codes.

• Safety Coordination: Act as a key safety advocate on-site. You will assist in ensuring 100% OSHA compliance, conducting safety walks, and helping lead regular safety meetings to maintain a risk-free job site.

• Trade Supervision: Directly oversee assigned subcontractors and vendors. You will serve as a primary point of contact for resolving field conflicts, clarifying drawings, and ensuring MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems are integrated seamlessly.

• Field Documentation: Maintain meticulous daily logs, including weather delays, manpower counts, and material deliveries. You will assist the Lead Superintendent in providing clear weekly updates to the Project Manager and ownership.

• Inspection Coordination: Help facilitate local Orlando building authority inspections. You will ensure that work areas are ready for review and that all milestones are documented and passed.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in a field leadership role (Assistant Superintendent or Lead Foreman) specifically within the commercial construction sector.

• Project History: Exposure to ground-up commercial projects such as retail centers, office buildings, or medical facilities.

• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of commercial building systems, including structural steel, reinforced concrete/masonry, and complex HVAC/Electrical layouts.

• Project Tech: Proficiency in using digital field tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or Bluebeam) to manage RFIs, submittals, and field photos.

• Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, "boots-on-the-ground" approach to managing diverse subcontractor crews.
