Position Title: Assistant Superintendent

Position Summary

The Assistant Superintendent at my client plays a crucial role in supporting the Superintendent to ensure that construction projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design specifications. This position involves on-site coordination, quality control, and collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Assist in planning and executing daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular inspections to mitigate risks.

• Team Supervision: Oversee subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and ensuring efficient workflow.

• Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Superintendent, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, inspections, and project progress reports.

• Problem-Solving: Identify and address issues promptly to prevent project delays

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in construction supervision, preferably in drywall projects.

• Certifications: OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents; familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore).

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

• Primarily field-based with exposure to various weather conditions.

• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, as project demands dictate.

• Physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
