About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing and mechanical projects throughout the Nashville area. This is a great opportunity to grow your career with a reputable HVAC & Plumbing contractor working on a variety of commercial and multifamily projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day operations and coordination of HVAC & plumbing projects
  • Help prepare submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met
  • Support budgeting, material procurement, and cost tracking
  • Attend project meetings and document key action items
  • Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
  • Ensure compliance with project specs, timelines, and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

  • Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

About the Candidate

  • Experience in construction, preferably within plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trades
  • Open to candidates from other construction sectors (e.g., electrical, GC, or civil backgrounds)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
  • Solid communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • A self-starter with a desire to grow within the MEP sector

Preferred (but not required):
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of plumbing/mechanical systems and installation methods
