Our client is one of the nation’s leading providers of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance, specializing in electrical construction, structured cabling, security systems, and building technology solutions. With over 100 years of experience, they have worked on a variety of projects ranging from high-rise buildings to infrastructure projects, including major commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities across the United States and internationally.

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in electrical construction to support a project team by assisting with the planning, scheduling, and administration of assigned projects. This role will support a Project Manager and Superintendent in ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and profitability.

About the Role

  • Assist in reviewing owner contracts and ensuring compliance
  • Help develop the master project schedule and quality control programs
  • Assist with contract buyout processes in accordance with corporate policies
  • Develop site-specific safety and quality programs
  • Create and maintain site logistics plans
  • Document and manage the punch list process
  • Coordinate and document owner training
  • Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and warranties
  • Help manage project costs relative to the budget
  • Provide regular updates to project schedules and progress
  • Contribute to project planning meetings and identify potential risks
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly project status reports and executive summaries

About the Candidate

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • A minimum of five years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management, preferably in electrical or building-tech construction
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS) and MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings
