My client is an established commercial construction contractor with a strong focus on drywall, framing and interior construction. They work across a range of active commercial projects and have built a reputation for delivering quality work while maintaining strong relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors and project partners.

The company is continuing to grow and is looking to add an experienced Assistant Project Manager  to their team to help oversee field operations across multiple projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of construction experience who wants to develop into a Project Manager.

Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Estimators, you'll gain exposure to projects from preconstruction through closeout, including project documentation, subcontractor coordination, drawings, schedules, budgets and change orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with commercial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and project documents
• Support estimating and preconstruction activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
• Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts and project documentation
• Track budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Monitor project progress and identify potential issues
• Maintain accurate project records
• Attend project meetings and visit jobsites when required
• Work closely with Estimating, Operations and Project Management

Ideal Background:

• 1–2 years of commercial construction experience
• Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related degree preferred
• Able to read construction drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of commercial construction methods
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Motivated to learn and progress into Project Management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Microsoft Excel / Word
• PlanSwift or other estimating software
• Procore or similar construction management software
• ERP/CRM experience

Package:

• $50,000–$85,000 salary, depending on experience
