Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Drywall

Location: Orlando, FL

Salary:$65,000 - $85,000 + Benefits

A leading commercial drywall and interiors contractor is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its growing Orlando team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Project Manager position while working on high-profile commercial projects across Central Florida.

The company delivers drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings and specialty interior systems on projects within healthcare, hospitality, education, themed entertainment, commercial and mixed-use sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers through all phases of commercial construction projects.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries and subcontractors.
• Track project schedules, budgets and job progress.
• Attend site meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors and field teams.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Requirements

• 1-5 years' experience within commercial drywall, interiors or construction project management.
• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings or commercial interiors is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam or similar construction software is beneficial.
• Construction Management degree is advantageous but not essential.
