About the Client

Assistant Project Manager – Drywall & Interiors

A growing commercial drywall and interiors contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Estimators, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle while building a long-term career within a well-established specialist contractor. This role is ideal for someone with a background in drywall, interior fit-out or commercial construction who is looking to progress into project management.

About the Role

The Role

  • Support Project Managers with the day-to-day delivery of commercial drywall and interiors projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project close-out documentation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
  • Monitor project programmes, budgets and progress.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and site teams.
  • Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting.

About the Candidate

Requirements

  • 1–3 years' experience within commercial construction, ideally drywall, ceilings, framing or interior fit-out.
  • Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (experience with Procore or similar construction software is advantageous).
  • Eager to develop into a Project Manager.
