Assistant Estimator – Drylining & Interior Fit-Out

Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an Assistant Estimator to support their experienced pre-construction team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
• Reviewing project drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Liaising with suppliers, clients and the wider pre-construction team.
• Maintaining estimating records and pricing databases.
• Assisting with value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.

• Previous experience in an Assistant Estimator, Trainee Estimator or similar construction role.
• Experience within drylining, partitions, suspended ceilings, SFS, plastering or interior fit-out is highly desirable.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to build a long-term career in estimating.
