Location: Dagenham (Site-Based)
Start Date: Early August
Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 + Package (expenses paid, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join a specialist interiors subcontractor delivering high-spec drylining and ceiling packages across London and the South East. With multiple live sites and a strong pipeline, they are now looking for a Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior QS on a major Data Centre project in Dagenham.

This is a site-based role(not office-based) offering excellent hands-on experience and real project ownership from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with monthly valuations, cost reporting, and subcontractor payments

• Help manage procurement, material take-offs, and subcontract orders

• Attend regular site meetings and support commercial documentation

• Work closely with the SQS on forecasting and change management

• Support cost control, payment notices, and variation tracking

What They’re Looking For

Trainee QS (Graduate):

• Recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

• Eager to learn, confident working on-site, and ready to build practical skills

Assistant QS:

• 6–18 months’ experience in a subcontractor or main contractor environment

• Exposure to drylining or fit-out projects a strong advantage

• Comfortable working mostly site-based and reporting directly to an SQS
