About the Client

Just Construction is partnered with a leading commercial General Contractor with a strong healthcare construction presence.

The company is currently expanding its healthcare operations in Miami and is seeking experienced Healthcare Superintendents to join a major program of hospital extensions, renovations and capital improvement projects for a prominent South Florida health system.

The overall program represents up to $450 million in construction value, providing an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile healthcare projects within an established and growing construction operation.

About the Role

The Healthcare Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations on major hospital extension and renovation projects throughout the Miami area.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Take ownership of field operations from mobilization through project completion.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors and specialty trades.
  • Manage daily construction activities and ensure proper sequencing of work.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and overall field schedules with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate complex work within active healthcare environments.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and life-safety requirements.
  • Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins and work that may impact ongoing hospital operations.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications and project documents.
  • Coordinate MEP, structural, architectural and specialty healthcare systems.
  • Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field planning.
  • Monitor workmanship and maintain rigorous quality-control standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure work complies with project requirements.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, access and material coordination.
  • Identify potential conflicts and schedule issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized construction site.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Executive to maintain project schedule and budget objectives.
  • Maintain strong communication with hospital representatives, facilities teams, architects and consultants.
  • Manage punch list and closeout activities through final completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards expected within a healthcare environment.

This is a significant opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to join a major healthcare construction program in Miami, working across a portfolio of hospital extensions, renovations and capital improvement projects valued at up to $450 million.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex healthcare construction while being part of a strong project team and an established General Contractor.

About the Candidate

We are looking for experienced Healthcare Superintendents with a strong background in managing complex hospital construction and renovation projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of commercial construction experience, with significant healthcare experience.
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on hospital construction, expansions or major renovations.
  • Experience working within occupied and operational healthcare facilities.
  • Experience coordinating complex renovations, additions and phased construction.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare construction sequencing and building systems.
  • Experience coordinating MEP trades and complex installations.
  • Strong understanding of infection control, life-safety requirements and maintaining safe operations within active healthcare environments.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, logistics and project sequencing.
  • Experience working closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, owners, architects and consultants.
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify potential schedule, quality or coordination issues before they impact the project.
  • Procore experience is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Candidates with experience on large-scale hospital campuses, healthcare expansions, renovations, surgical facilities, patient areas or other complex medical environments will be particularly well suited.
