The Healthcare Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations
on major hospital extension and renovation projects throughout the Miami area.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of field operations from mobilization through project completion.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors and specialty trades.
- Manage daily construction activities and ensure proper sequencing of work.
- Develop and maintain short-term and overall field schedules with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate complex work within active healthcare environments.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and life-safety requirements.
- Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins and work that may impact ongoing hospital operations.
- Review construction drawings, specifications and project documents.
- Coordinate MEP, structural, architectural and specialty healthcare systems.
- Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field planning.
- Monitor workmanship and maintain rigorous quality-control standards.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure work complies with project requirements.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, access and material coordination.
- Identify potential conflicts and schedule issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized construction site.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Executive to maintain project schedule and budget objectives.
- Maintain strong communication with hospital representatives, facilities teams, architects and consultants.
- Manage punch list and closeout activities through final completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards expected within a healthcare environment.
