Superintendent – Commercial Drywall & Interior Systems

Raleigh / Charlotte, North Carolina

A leading national specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial drywall and interior systems projects across the Raleigh and Charlotte markets.

You'll lead field operations on large-scale projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers and field teams to deliver exceptional results

About the Role

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day site operations for commercial drywall, metal framing, ceilings and interior systems projects.
  • Lead Superintendents, Foremen and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
  • Review drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure work is installed correctly.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and oversee punch list completion.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and site inspections.
  • Build strong working relationships with General Contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
  • Track production, prepare daily reports and provide regular progress updates.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to minimise delays and maximise productivity.

About the Candidate

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent within commercial drywall, metal framing, ceilings or interior construction.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple crews on complex commercial projects.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is beneficial but not essential.
