Job Title: Superintendent (Commercial Construction – Interiors & Multi-Residential)
Location: New York & New Jersey (Focus: Port Chester, Haverstraw, NY & Connecticut Commutable Areas)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Overview
A well-established specialty contractor is urgently seeking Superintendents to support active and upcoming projects across New York and New Jersey, with an immediate focus on candidates based in or commutable to the Port Chester, Haverstraw, and Connecticut regions.

The company operates multiple divisions across drywall, construction, and architectural systems, delivering projects throughout the Northeast. With a strong pipeline of work, this is an opportunity to join a stable, fast-moving contractor with consistent project flow and long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from start through completion
• Manage subcontractors, trades, and daily field operations
• Coordinate drywall, framing, and interiors scopes on multi-residential projects
• Drive project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
• Maintain strict safety standards and OSHA compliance
• Ensure quality control and adherence to drawings and specifications
• Work closely with Project Managers and internal teams
• Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Strong experience on ground-up or new construction multi-residential projects
• Background in drywall, framing, and interiors preferred
• Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades on-site
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in NY/NJ union environments
• Local to or commutable to Port Chester, Haverstraw, or nearby Connecticut areas
• Experience on mid- to large-scale residential or mixed-use builds
• OSHA certification or strong safety background
